What is Liberty Bond?
- Liberty Bond ($LIBERTY) is a token on Robinhood Chain. Its trading fees are paid to the U.S. Treasury to help reduce the national debt.
- Payments go through Gifts to Reduce the Public Debt, the Treasury's own program on Pay.gov. Anyone can give to it, and the Treasury reports the totals every month.
- Every payment is posted on this page with its Pay.gov receipt and the onchain fee claim it came from, so anyone can check the numbers.
The first Liberty Bonds.
To pay for the First World War, the Treasury sold Liberty Bonds straight to the public. Four Liberty Loan drives and a Victory Loan in 1919 raised about $21.5 billion, sold with parades, posters and film stars on every corner.
Liberty Bond borrows the name and the spirit, not the promise. It is not a bond and it pays no interest. It turns trading into payments on the debt, made in public.
In 1917, Americans lent their country money. In 2026, they help pay it back.
The plan.
Three steps, all of them public.
-
Trade $LIBERTY
Every buy and sell on Robinhood Chain pays a trading fee, collected onchain.
-
Fees go to the Treasury
The fees are paid to the U.S. Treasury on Pay.gov, under Gifts to Reduce the Public Debt (31 U.S.C. 3113). The Treasury takes gifts of $5 or more, so payments go in batches.
-
Receipts go on the record
Each payment is posted below with its date, amount, Pay.gov tracking ID, receipt and the onchain claim it came from.

Plain answers.
Is Liberty Bond a government bond?
No. $LIBERTY is a community token on Robinhood Chain. It is not issued, backed or endorsed by the U.S. government, it is not a Treasury security, and it pays no interest. The name honors the Liberty Bonds of 1917.
Where does the money go?
To the U.S. Treasury, through the Gifts to Reduce the Public Debt form on Pay.gov. The Treasury accepts these gifts under 31 U.S.C. 3113 and publishes the monthly total on Fiscal Data.
How can I check a payment?
Every row in the receipts table shows the Pay.gov tracking ID, the amount and the receipt. The fees behind each payment are claimed onchain, and that transaction is linked in the same row.
Does buying $LIBERTY pay down the debt?
Trading does, through the fees. The token itself is not a claim on anything, and like any token it can lose value. Only buy what you can afford to lose.
